Checklist to assess: Inclusivity of AE policies and availability of AE programmes in geographically excluded areas
![]()
Why this tool?
We recognise that data relating to AE provision in geographically excluded regions can appear fragmented, data sets are often difficult to find or simply not available. This checklist will enable policy makers and providers to assess and to address this gap in information. This checklist is designed to enable the comprehensive evaluation of the availability of AE provision in geographically remote and excluded regions. The outcome of utilising this tool is a contribution to a greater shared understanding of the available data, and the gaps in that data sets at European level. The anticipated outcome is a greater alignment between policies that impact on inclusivity and availability of AE provision in geographically remote regions. What purpose does this tool solve? This is a tool to enable AE policy makers and programme creators to evaluate AE policies in terms of the inclusivity and availability of AE provision in geographically excluded and remote regions, in their scope and coverage. How to use this tool? 1. assess the availability of AE provision in the geographically excluded and remote regions, that are within your remit. 2. identify, with a tick Ö, where you work, e.g., rural disadvantaged urban or disadvantaged areas within cities. 3. identify the overarching policy that governs provision. 4. identify the AE policy that governs provision. 5. Identify if AE policies address the needs of the target groups that are identified in the checklist with a tick Ö, next to the target group and or sector focus. ![]() Download Tool |
